How Someone Makes An Impact

July 7, 2008 by admin

I decided to participate in Ken McArthur’s recent post. I’ve met Deremiah, but more importantly, I know that extraordinary people like him are abound.

Jacklyn Ker
I have one person whom I believe to be extraordinary. Her name is Jacklyn Ker. She’s a student of my long-term coaching program, but already is a six-figure passive income earner from her current health business, and has become a close friend because of the contact we have made these past years.

Health business. Ironic, if you were to know her story. Suffering lupus (SLE), she encountered multiple organ failure across the last 20+ years of her life. In her teenage life, she was a sportsperson, and someone who was highly active athletically. When she was diagnosed with this, it literally crushed her, but several weeks later, she picked herself up, and decided to move on with her life and to make her life normal.

She’s suffered heart failure twice. She’s had so many holes in her arms and side due to dialysis. She was passed over kidney transplant operation because doctors told her other patients would have a better chance, until her mother became a donor. Her mother’s kidney was not in a condition for transplant until Jacklyn decided to apply the same health products she used to stabilize her own condition. Soon, her mother’s kidney was good enough for transplant.

Because of the scarring of tissue, the kidney couldn’t be placed where kidneys are supposed to be. Instead, her mother’s kidney is just under her heart - the only space that the doctors could find. Today, she is not only a superstar sales person, she is also a highly motivated personal development blogger. She’s planning to double her current income — mainly because her mother is, literally, so close to her heart that she is motivated to succeed, and win.

Giving up is not something that she bows to. And she is often disappointed by people who do. But she has a plan, and is continuing on her journey toward the success that she already has, using her own story to uplift the lives of those who are in her community.

There’s more to her story, and I don’t mean to truncate it. But someone who has tolerated so much physical pain in her life and still puts on a wonderful smile everytime she meets you should be deemed as someone who has made, and will still make an impact in the world we are in, don’t you think?
