Internet Marketing Newbies: Overcome Procrastination!
July 23, 2008 by admin
I just thought that I should share this information while you’re still new. many people who have excelled in the area of Internet marketing have probably also wasted half of their time as a result of procrastination.
I do know a number of highly motivated individuals who haven’t fallen prey to this. These people wake up in the morning and have a very clear idea what they need to do for the day. They cannot get distracted, and do not get drawn away by the whims and fancies of something else that happens to be a new flavor. Instead, they are highly driven to get stuff done.
Many new means tend to be focused a lot on the wondering whether something is the best thing to do. I mean, I’m sure you’ve asked at one point or other whether your Internet marketing coach has given you the right kind of guidance. The point is, it’s not so much about what is ideal, it’s about whether you’ve got stuff done in the first place. Even if something doesn’t pay off very well, what you have to do is to repeat your system especially since you have found that one of them might work. Remember, it’s not a windfall of a million dollars over night. You still need to get some experience which is what will help to sustain your income over a long period of time.
So, if your coach says build a blog, go build three. If your coach says get a product done, get two done instead. I remember the good old days when I was a student. I knew I was weak in certain things that I had done poorly in. For instance, I was extremely poor in scoring an ‘A’ for my narrative composition essays. However, I believe in myself and instead of falling back with disappointment, I decided to step up my efforts. While everyone wrote an essay, I wrote two or three. This definitely gave me an edge, and my teacher ended up supporting me more than anyone else. This is because I obviously was serious about doing my work. My teacher didn’t have time to waste on the rest who couldn’t be bothered.
If you want to have your coaches support you, you have to take action and do what is required of you. If you’re told to set up a blog, go make sure that you get it done. All the excuses in the world couldn’t save you from the fact that if you don’t get it done, no one can help you get ahead. If you want people to respect your work, but must be work to be respected in the first place.
Now, I know there are a lot of people who might feel sorry about this. But honestly speaking, how many times have you actually purchase something and completed it? It might be a home study course that you just left on your shelf. Or that the book which you haven’t even read yet. Or maybe, you read ones without actively picking out information. The process of actually achieving success anywhere in the world has got to do with your tenacity and ability to stretch yourself beyond your own comfort zone.
One very common excuse is that we have no time. I know we have no time. That is why we have to force ourselves to make sacrifices along the way so that we end up with more time. Got distracted by that television show? Or, you were told to watch a specific movie? Or maybe your friends asked you out for dinner. In this situation, what would you do knowing that you had an online business to take care of? I have never seen a true blue entrepreneur throw his hands up in the air and complain that he doesn’t have time to do work. Entrepreneurs are highly obsessed with their goals and we’ll do whatever it takes to make them happen.
Think about the last time you were motivated to do something. There were strong reasons for you to do this. You need to find the same strong reasons so that you can stretch yourself beyond what you thought were your limitations. But the most important thing you have to remember is to kill procrastination. Your future belongs to you, and not your coach. If you want to build a future that is successful and wealthy, take responsibility for your own future.

Excellent article!!
Going above and beyond what’s expected is the true trademark of a successful individual. Love what you said about your school experience - it’s so true. I stumbled your post - great stuff!
