The alliance between myself and Simon Leung has been a rather unbelievably exciting one. Firstly, because our plan to help build and groom the internet marketing community here has already kickstarted with a very high level discussion inviting some very prominent speakers in the marketing community in the US.

Simon’s working with us at Internet Marketing Academy and continue to provide high-quality enrichment for internet marketing and business building. It’s going to be pretty amazing if you are think about attending because I’ve made sure that the presentations are of top quality.

Internet Marketing Expert Tips: Using Online Research Material

August 19, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment

Let’s face it. We can’t do all the work ourselves. I mean, there’s so much information, it’s a wonder our brain can even remain the same size. It’s been a fact that many White Papers exist online with research done on things that we may never ever have heard of before.

To leverage the thousands of man-hours and dollars these firms are spending, you should just simply put a Google Alert on the phrase “white paper” and read whatever comes to you especially in the field of technology.

Internet Marketing Expert Series: Productivity Management

This post is dedicated to the very hard working individuals (yes, even you experts out there who are too busy to even make friends) who are out there wondering how it’s possible to finish work. The bottom line is… work is CREATED by us, so it will NEVER end. AND — I finally think I know why time flies by so quickly. We don’t keep track of what we do!

Internet Marketing Newbies - the importance of repetition

August 14, 2008 by admin · 1 Comment

I’ve realized that over the years, people who have established themselves in an area within Internet marketing have done it because they’ve repeated processes and systems that work. This is one of the most difficult points in an Internet marketing beginners’ life. After all, you will have to struggle with the technical know how assuming that you have no understanding of technology in the first place.

Internet Marketing Newbies: A cool way to test niches

Okay - so many people know that there is going to be a low level of certainty when you start a project and attempt to sell it, right? So what should you do?

Well, here are my recommendations.

Firstly, if you are really new, a good way to start is simply use Adsense as a strategy to test your earnings. You can register for Adsense and learn how to use it. But, you should set up several sites to do this. I like Wordpress blogs because the themes can be customized quite easily if you have a good graphic designer. In fact, there are a number of nice copy and paste graphics you can buy now. The first one is Aurelius Tjin’s site. The second one is Semmy Wijayanto’s.

Internet Marketing Newbies: Frustration? Oh Puh-leeze Get Over It…

July 27, 2008 by admin · 3 Comments

This is a rant.

It’s got to do with people’s attitudes, and sometimes makes me wonder why I am nice to people at all. If you’re already an experienced marketer, you’ll probably feel the same way as I do. Don’t get me wrong - I don’t intend to give up unlike some of these people. I am on a mission to educate and empower. If people don’t give themselves a chance to do that for themselves, then I think I’m their best hope (lol).

I can truly empathize with newbies who have a problem technically with the internet. I don’t mind helping these people if they are working toward something.

I just came up with a product that helps newbies get oriented to internet marketing. As we all know, it’s an uphill task to generate revenue if we don’t know what we’re doing. If you are what I call a “super newbie”, you might want to grab a copy of this.

Looks cool huh! Retail price is $19.90, excluding shipping and handling.

Internet Marketing Expert Series: The Genius Of Social Networking

July 25, 2008 by admin · 3 Comments

Okay - now, you guys are really in for a treat.

Recently, I was on a Justin.TV streaming show with Alejandro Reyes, a social marketer. I asked the question “How Do You Make Friends” and since it is a modeling question, I didn’t expect Alejandro to be able to answer that question the way everyone could have received and repackaged in their brain.

In truth, it’s not that difficult to make friends. There are strategies for doing this, and I’ll list a few of them. I’d like to re-organize Alejandro’s answer a bit. He said “be myself, don’t send emails, don’t be annoying, just add value”.

Internet Marketing Strategy: Return On “Trust”?

July 23, 2008 by admin · 1 Comment

Okay, I know, I know - Return on Investment is ROI, and Return on Trust is ROT. It’s an unfortunate name, but it’s beside the point. I really want to focus a lot on the issues that are facing some internet marketing players right now.

I’ve heard tonight from the people who attended my workshop, that there are a few local speakers who have absolutely no idea that they are being mentally marked down by people in the outside world for:
1. Selling to their list only
2. Promoting make money fast programs only
3. Not replying to emails
4. Not giving people a sense of connection (well at least some of the time)
5. Ignoring people
