Internet Marketing Expert Series: Productivity Management
August 15, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
This post is dedicated to the very hard working individuals (yes, even you experts out there who are too busy to even make friends) who are out there wondering how it’s possible to finish work. The bottom line is… work is CREATED by us, so it will NEVER end. AND — I finally think I know why time flies by so quickly. We don’t keep track of what we do!
Strategic Internet Marketing: Outsourcing Or Grooming?
July 22, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
I’ve always been a proponent of grooming internal staff to become partners in the context of building an online business. However, it’s a common question that people ask me - what if people leave your organization and the vacuum?
I think most marketers are afraid of revealing what they do and their processes. They are afraid that whatever they outsource will leave them and the cost of that is a loss of time invested in their employees. In truth, my opinion is that if employees want to leave, you can’t stop them. But, if they want to leave because of a relationship problem, then you have more than just an employee vacuum.
Internet Marketing Growth Plans
To be an effective internet marketer, you have to plan for growth. Here’s my observations.
#1 - Always have multiple products.
This is particularly so if you are purely an affiliate marketer. If you own your own products, you have to be aware that these products have a lifespan, so you have to be prepared to create more, or relaunch them in order to create a better growth plan.
Product launches are cashflow infusion. But affiliate marketing is steady growing regular income, especially if you have the proper flow of traffic there.
Doug Hudiburgh Shares My UStream.TV Video…

It’s interesting to know how I can still pack a punch from a distance.
Doug Hudiburgh, whom I met on Twitter, is goes through what many small business owners on and offline are experiencing, with a small exception: Dough is actually planning and going places. I’ve taken a look at a couple of the sites he owns, and obviously, its easy to tell that he’s got a lot of things together. It’s just a process of thinking and moving ahead that tends to get people wondering “am I doing the right thing”. Most of the time, from a fellow entrepreneur to another, we don’t really know what the heck we are doing. We just jump in with our hearts and minds open, and cross our fingers.
Not a very good strategy, in my opinion!
So what exactly is going to help low to mid 6-figure businesses get to the 7-figure mark?
Hmm! That’s what I talked about for about… oh 2 hours. Check out the video!
Outsource Failure: The Real Reasons
June 21, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
I was just having a chat with my buddy Simon Leung about why some credible internet marketers fail to deliver on their “turnkey” products, even though they received money from their customers and couldn’t produce the goods.
I know a large number of people who are in the “turnkey product” market, and it sells really well. The trouble with this market is simple - few people are able to handle the demand, and they think that they can outsource the entire set of projects to other people easily. That’s probably going to be the last mistake they make!
Internet Marketing Expert Series: Sustainability And Scalability
June 12, 2008 by admin · 2 Comments
Ah - this one is really up my alley and very interesting as a topic of discussion, too. Most times, people run a business but never seem to get away from the rigors of work and often burn out. I outline quite a number of different things that are required in business, one of which is the ability to create a business that can be expanded and built upon the people you employ.
Employees. Boon, or bane?
Well, it really depends on the way you carry out your leadership. In my opinion, the most important element in business is the way you lead people in your team. And to be honest, based on what I’ve seen so far, there are many people who will not be able to handle leadership within a team. They are lazy, quick to anger, unforgiving, and basically bad with people.
But… I used to be that way too!
Three main rules you need to follow, which probably can extend to anyplace in your life.
#1 - be patient in explaining.
Sometimes, employees do not understand the way a business structure is run. They compare with myths and sometimes lies. So you will have to constantly be in contact with them and not make them feel stupid. After all, we want competent people.
#2 - let them make choices.
I suppose this might seem radical. But making people stakeholders in your organization could help you to gain so much more. Especially your freedom. Allowing people to take over your responsibilities does not mean you are losing anything. It merely means you do what you are meant to do - lead the organization.
#3 - Hire right, hire slow. Fire fast.
You really have no time to waste on people who are poor in attitude. If you see this, axe them asap after your first couple of warnings or pep talks, whichever you want to call them. This is important - you are spending good money on them, and you want them to produce. If they are unable to produce results or make more than their fair share of mistakes, you might actually consider their performance under par, and, well… let them go.
Systems and Profitability
If you really want to build leadership in your organization, I’d highly recommend you go out there and start reading and modeling people. It’s important for you to do that and if you are going to do that, you might need systems and scalability.
I managed to get Brad Semp, a Ph.D. candidate and the CEO of CashMap Systems to talk to me about what he felt about my expertise.
Internet Marketing In Asia - Creating A Real International Business

Do Not Seek International Partners Until You Read This!
Okay… I apologize if that sounded melodramatic, but the truth is that this article could save you hundreds of thousands, if not millions, when it comes to creating a real international business.
Most of you might have already started a website, and think it is “international”. Well, think again! Every new person from a culture or nationality you encounter online alone may shun you simply because you have no presence in the country that the visitor comes from. Don’t be surprised by these interesting concerns:
Teamwork Necessary For Leverage — Really?
May 29, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
I recently read an article by someone who mentioned that teamwork is necessary for online marketing. I think that this is a complete misnomer. It’s not about teamwork, is about team building. As an owner of a business, it doesn’t make sense for you to be a member of someone else’s team. You have to build your own team.
“Make Money Online” Schemes And Credibility Marketing

If you’re like me, you probably run an online business. You also probably have the practice of promoting something that you deem to be of exceptional value. Your clients love you, but you can’t seem to get enough clients.
Hmm. So we have a slight issue. You’re an expert at what you do but you don’t have the kind of pulling power to have more clients reach back to you… and it seems so tiring to have to keep pushing and reaching out to prospects. If you’re like that, my guess is that you’re just like any other marketer who has been told to build lists, create value, build more products and sell them like crazy. And probably, no one told you it’s such hard work!
Develop Your Marketing Talent Using NLP’s “Timelines”
May 27, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
Being able to do things at the right place at the right time. Being able to tell the future. Being able to go back and change the past.
Sounds like therapy! But it’s in truth, something more. I’ll call it EMT - exceptional marketing talent. I don’t know if you can envisage this, but go ahead anyway. You can see 5 hours in the future. You realize what people want, understand their decisions, and track results. You can then go back into the past and fix any ineffective actions on your part in order to get your market to buy.
